Since their bye in Week 7, the Titans have been on a 7-1 run. During that run, the Titans had one thing going for them: Only one of the teams they played against was playing at a consistently good level. That was the Colts, who they lost to. The Chargers go to Tennessee this week having won nine straight games, and haven't scored less than 20 points in a game all season. The Chargers are simply the better team. They haven't given up 100 yards to a back since Rashard Mendenhall in Week 4, their passing game has outplayed their opponents in all but five games, and have already beaten Philly, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, and the Giants. The Chargers are just plain better.

Thursday Night Special - Colts @ Jaguars
Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars

This is the first game in Jacksonville this season that won't be blacked out. Who wants to bet all those previously empty seats are being taken up by traveling Colts fans escaping the cold in Indy? Sell-out crowd or not, Jacksonville has their work cut out for them. Indy is still unbeaten, but they might rest some players this week. With this being a short week, it wouldn't surprise me. Still, I'd expect the healthy starters to get at least enough time to build a healthy lead before Maurice Jones-Drew runs all over the backups.

Thursday Night Special - Dolphins @ Panthers
Miami Dolphins @ Carolina Panthers

A week or two ago I would have given this game to the Dolphins, easily. Now Ronnie Brown is done for the year, and that severly limits the Wildcat. Yes, Pat White can still run it, and Ricky Williams has been strong out of the backfield, but neither one can do what Brown has done over the past two seasons. Last week, the Panthers faced a strong runner in Michael Turner. Once he went down with an ankle injury, they pulled out a 28-19 win. With DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart healthy enough to be a dangerous backfield combination again, the Panthers will get themselves back in the playoff picture this week.

Thursday Night Special - Bears @ 49ers

The first Thursday Night game of the season features two teams that look a lot alike: both have a QB that can cause turnovers, and both have a defense that isn't living up to expectations lately. The bigger problem will be for the Bears, who have to figure out how to stop Frank Gore. They're giving up 119.5 rushing yards per game, and against a guy that will just keep going at you, that isn't gonna do it. With both teams on a short week, I wouldn't be surprised to see a mistake filled game from both teams, but as long as Gore can keep running, the '9ers will be fine.
